The Chinese University of Hong Kong is a comprehensive research university founded in 1963. It is the only university in Hong Kong that operates a college system and upholds Chinese-English bilingualism. It enrolled roughly 25,000 students in 2024/25 and placed 18th globally (breaking into the top 20 for the first time) and second in Hong Kong in the QS World University Rankings 2027.
